The Polar Express

This year we went on The Polar Express up in Heber City. It was such a neat experience for the kids. The kids wore their pjs and had their ticket to board. While on our way to the North Pole the kids drank hot chocolate, cookies, sang Christmas carols and were even able to visit with Mrs. Claus. When we got the North Pole Santa climbed on board and gave each child the first gift of Christmas (a bell). It was so much fun, here are a few pics of the evening.

Thanksgiving Part 2

The Saturday after Thanksgiving the family goes up to the mountains to cut down a Christmas tree. We were debating on whether or not to get one since we would have to haul it all the way back to Utah, but since we were already going to be there with the family we thought we would do it. It was a little chilly, but we had a good time eating hot dogs and helping Isaic and Mayra get their van unstuck a half a dozen times:) P.S. The treee did survive the trip.

Thanksgiving Part 1- SAND MOUNTAIN

The first part of our trip to Cali, for Thanksgiving, was to meet the fam at Sand Mountain in Fallon, Nevada. We had such a blast! It would be fun to do again! Here are a few pictures of the activities.

New Bedding

In our spare bedroom we were given a queen sized bed and so I needed to find bedding for it. As I was thinking about it, why should I buy a new set for a bed that hardly gets used as opposed to buying myself new bedding and putting mine on the other bed. Does that make sense? So I went to ROSS and found this bed set, it was a heck of a steal. It came with the comfortor, shams, euro shams, 2 decorative pillows and the bedskirt. I LOVE IT!

Oops, I forgot to finish Halloween

When I was posting pictures of our picking out the pumpkin I forgot to post about Halloween itself. So here are a few pics of the evening.

In September when we went to Reno for a visit my friend Erica showed me how to make these cute bags. She has a bag for each kid and they put things in the bags to keep them busy and quiet at church. I thought it was a brilliant idea, best of all its something they carry instead of MOM. So I did Jeren's when I was at her house and I just finished Kira's. It turned out so cute, I love it! I am so proud of myself. Now I just need to do Landin and Blake's.

Sleepy Head

Landin has this thing with falling asleep in the weirdest positions. This is the latest. That can not be comfortable!

Potato Pickin'

The last time we went to my parents' house the boys were able to pick potatoes from Grandpa's garden. The loved it. There were 3 kinds of potatoes. Yukon gold, red and good ol' russets. A good time was had by all!!! Of course we had mashed potatoes for dinner that night, yummy!

Not my wall!

One day Jeren was being awfully quiet and when I found him he had colored all over himself and my newly painted wall. I didn't know whether to be mad or to laugh. I wasn't too worried about the wall because they were washable markers and it came right off. I was so embarassed to take him to the store that afternoon, it looked like the marker attacked him. Kids will be kids.
