In September when we went to Reno for a visit my friend Erica showed me how to make these cute bags. She has a bag for each kid and they put things in the bags to keep them busy and quiet at church. I thought it was a brilliant idea, best of all its something they carry instead of MOM. So I did Jeren's when I was at her house and I just finished Kira's. It turned out so cute, I love it! I am so proud of myself. Now I just need to do Landin and Blake's.

Sleepy Head

Landin has this thing with falling asleep in the weirdest positions. This is the latest. That can not be comfortable!

Potato Pickin'

The last time we went to my parents' house the boys were able to pick potatoes from Grandpa's garden. The loved it. There were 3 kinds of potatoes. Yukon gold, red and good ol' russets. A good time was had by all!!! Of course we had mashed potatoes for dinner that night, yummy!

Not my wall!

One day Jeren was being awfully quiet and when I found him he had colored all over himself and my newly painted wall. I didn't know whether to be mad or to laugh. I wasn't too worried about the wall because they were washable markers and it came right off. I was so embarassed to take him to the store that afternoon, it looked like the marker attacked him. Kids will be kids.

Cool picture

I was just playing around with my camera one day and Jeren was posing. He wanted to show me his Bakugan and this is the picture I got. Kind've cool.

Sneaky Girl

A few days ago I was making cookies and while the cookies were cooling on the counter, Kira decided to push a stool right up to the counter and sneak some cookies. I caught her in the act, it was actually really cute.

Kira's first visit to ER

About a month ago Kira was helping me make dinner and I had opened a can of olives and was chopping them up. Well the lid was still intact (and cerated) to the can and she put her finger in there to get an olive and her finger got stuck in between the lid and the can. In order to get her finger out I had to pull her finger that was stuck; the lid sliced her finger open and it was bleeding really bad. I waited a few minutes to see if it would stop and it didn't and there was a good portion of her finger hanging off. She did so good at the doctors', they had to strap her down to keep her still, but they gave me a sucker for her which I kept letting her lick as they were stitching so that helped. She ended up having about 4-5 stitches in her tiny thumb. Here are a few pictures of when Jesse was removing the stitches.

Picking the Perfect Pumpkin

We went to a pumpkin patch in Syracuse the week before Halloween and by the time we got there it was pretty dark. So instead of going out to the pumpkin patch we just picked some that were in the bins, it was still fun for the kids.

SOLD

Well last week our Audi sold, I am kind've sad! Now we are going to get an older car like a Honda Accord that gets good gas mileage for me to drive. It costs too much to drive the Tahoe back and forth to the store and other errands, plus I only have 2 kids to take around so I don't need the big car. So we will see what we find.

The Karate Kid

Landin really wanted to try Karate this fall and so he goes once a week for an hour. It's a little slow right now(he expected to start doing kicks and all that kind of violent stuff right at first), but he likes it. Here are a few pics of one of his lessons.
