Today Jeren went to the doctor for his 3 year visit and he weighs 35 1/2 pounds and is 38 inches tall. He is in the 75% for height and 90% for weight. He is so big! Atleast he didn't have shots, mom was thankful for that!!!

We bought a house!!
Today we went and signed papers on a house. It will be a brand new home! Hopefully we will break ground in a week or two. We are super excited, especially since I will have a basement that will have 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, family room, craft room and a cold storage room. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a nice kitchen and the best part is that it is on 1/3 of an acre. Really big back yard, can't wait to start a garden and all that fun stuff. Today we also were able to pick out the colors of the exterior along with the stone style that goes in the front. Also we picked out the color of the roof and the shutters, I totally didn't think that you picked the colors of a roof (kind've cool). I will post pictures of the lot when we go back tomorrow to take Jesses' parents to see it. Hopefully the house will be done at the end of June to the beginning of July sometime.

Easter Decoration
So I saw this idea at Michaels and totally had to copy. I was going to buy it at first but they wanted like $30 for each one and I said "no way, I can make it for less than that." So I did. It is a glass container with a lid that I found at Michaels and then I added some cute eggs (also found at Michaels) and easter grass. To top it off I tied a big Easter bow around it. I am going to put it on my fireplace mantle, I think it will look good there.

A little Monkey
Kira got this stroller for her birthday and lately she climbs all over it. She pushes it for a little bit and then decides to climb. I didn't think she could really do it until I left the room and then heard her screaming; I came back in and she was on top of the thing. What a funny little girl!

"Strollin" along
Kira got a little stroller that she can push around the house for her birthday and she absolutely loves it! Since we have hardwood floors in our house, it makes it very easy for her to push around. She looks so adorable considering she is as tall as the stroller. It also plays music as she pushes it, so we know exactly where Kira is in the house.

Happy St. Patricks Day
Every year the boys expect something special for breakfast on St. Pattys day. So this year I made banana muffins and dyed them green and made green scrambled eggs and green milk. Jeren would not eat the eggs, even though I told him they would taste the same. Oh well.

Kira's Special Gift
For Kira's birthday I bought a precious moments figurine at the Hallmark store. It starts with newborn uptil 18 years or so. I thought it would be a fun tradition and something special to give to her to collect. Hopefully she will enjoy them. Here is the first one she got.

Kira's 1 year stats
Well Kira went to the doctor today for her "1" year checkup. She weighs a whopping 16lbs 6 oz and is 27 inches long. She is in the 5th percentile for height and below the chart for weight. The doctor isn't concerned since she looks healthy(chuncky thighs) and eats really well (4 meatballs for dinner when having spaghetti). She is just our little petite peanut.
I forgot to add that Jeren just cried and cried after she got her shots. He must have had sympathy pains, he held her hand and kept saying "ok, ki (k-eye that's what he calls her)" It was precious.

Ladybug Game
One of the games we played was pin the oreo on the ladybug. The oreo was of course the spots on the ladybug. Each kid had an oreo and when it was their turn they had to lick one side of the oreo and stick it on the ladybug. It was so funny to watch them lick it.
Jesse was in charge and he couldn't find a towel that would stay around their heads so he put a pillow sheet over their heads. It looked funny. I do have to say that he did a very nice job drawing the ladybug, the kids did the coloring.

The Birthday Cake
This year since Jeren and Kira's birthdays are only 6 days apart I decided to do a party together. I can get away with it for a couple years, MAYBE. The theme was BUGS. Jeren was more of the caterpillars and Kira was the butterflies. It turned out really good, I found lots of ideas on the internet. For Jeren's cake I did a caterpillar made from a lemon bundt cake. I colored the lemon frosting bright green and then drizzled melted dark and white chocolate over the top, it turned out nummy. For the antennas I did Twix and the boys did the eye balls with malt balls and chocolate chips. The face looked a little scary to me.
Kira's cake was just 2 -9" round white cakes, cut in half then turned in opposite directions with the round side to the inside if that makes sense. I cut the cake in the shape of wings and then did a little decorating. The antennas were toothpicks covered with frosting and the body was a twinkie. This cake turned out really cute too.
I also had a table to put both their cakes on along with a picture of when Kira was first born and Jeren was kissing her, very sweet. I had two cupcake stands, 1 for Kira's cupcakes and 1 for Jeren's. I found these cute butterflies thru Oriental Trading and they were the toppers on Kira's cupcakes and Jeren's were some bug cupcake toppers.

Happy Birthday Kira!
Yesterday, the 10th was Kira's 1st Birthday! I didn't have a chance to post on my blog so I am doing it today. I love this little girl, she makes me laugh and I can't wait till we get to do 'girl' things together while the boys are away with Dad. She's not quite walking, but getting close. I still can't believe she is 1, the year went by way to fast, but I am excited to see the changes in the next year.

Grandma Lavon Fairbanks 1922-2009
Grandma Fairbanks passed away exactly a week after her sweetheart on Mar. 1, 2009 at the age of 86. We are so happy that she didn't have a lot of time alone and that she could be together with Grandpa again. We will miss her and will look forward to the day we can be with her again.

Happy 3rd Birthday Jeren
Trying to hold 3 fingers up.
I can't believe Jeren is now 3. He is almost fully potty trained. 3 down, 1 to go.
Things I love about Jeren: How we likes to wear his brothers' shoes and not his own, your round tummy, your georgeous grin, your sweet spirit, your sloppy kisses and that you were my 3rd child to love. Thank you for 3 fun years, I am looking forward to many more!

Grandpa Garth Fairbanks 1916-2009
On Feb. 22, 2009 Grandpa Garth Fairbanks passed away at the age of 92. He was such a fun loving Grandpa, we have so many great memories of him. How fortunate we are to have known such a great man. We were able to attend his funeral in Paradise, CA on Feb. 27.
