The Basement
While Jesses' parents were here at Christmas his dad helped him get started on the basement. It was so exciting to see walls go up! Hopefully by late spring, it will be done!

Building a gingerbread house
This was the very first time I have ever buildt a gingerbread house. Jesse's cousin and his family make these extravagant gingerbread houses every year. They even made a who-ville and had it up for auction at the festival of trees here in Salt Lake. It looked amazing!! Anyways Kaycis' mom makes the gingerbread for the house by scratch, not the store bought kind. It was more like a mansion than a house. It was a blast, I already have ideas for next year! Thanks Glen and Kayci!!

A weekend away
The first weekend in December my friend Alison has an ornament exchange party every year. When we moved I was so bummed knowing that I would miss them. Anyways it worked out that I was able to have a weekend away and go back to Reno for the party. It was such a nice weekend. The night I got there Alison and I went scrapbooking at a local scrap store till 1:00 am. Saturday morning some friends and I went out to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe and then headed to a movie. Saturday night was the ornament party and it was a blast, as always! Sunday was church and it ended up snowing a ton that evening and into Monday (the day I was to leave). My flight was delayed just a little bit due to ice on the plane that they had to get off, but I made it home! I already miss my friends in Reno, but I am thankful that we still keep in touch!! Thanks for a fun weekend girls!

Trimming the tree (finally)
I know, its already 2010 and I am just barely posting from the beginning of December. Oh well, I guess its better than never. Here is the tree we brought back from Cali. It was a tall tree, especially since our ceiling is 9' and the top is touching the ceiling. We always use a santa hat for the top, its kind've fun!

Jr Dart Basketball
One nice thing about moving to Utah is that they have basketball for the kids. Blake started in November and it went on for a couple of months and he LOVED it! He has always been a big fan of playing basketball and this gave him a good opportunity to actually play. Jesse was the assistant coach, it was fun to see them both having a good time (most of the time :).
