Memorial Day Weekend Fun

For Memorial Day Weekend we headed to my parents' house in Idaho. The boys couldn't wait! On Saturday we went to Carey Lake so the men could fish. The boys were able to go out on the boat while Jesse did a little fishing. Next we headed to Craters of the Moon, about 30 minutes away from their house. It's a National Park that has miles of lava rocks with caves and places to explore and hike. We first hiked up this hill of black lava rocks that overlooked the whole park, it was beautiful. Then we explored a few caves, it was so nice and cool compared to the heat outside. There are a lot of pictures, so bear with me :)

CRATERS OF THE MOON


On top of the mountain, it was so windy.


Grandma, the gopher. She was such a trooper going thru the caves, it wasn't easy. Especially crawling out of that hole at the end of the tunnel.

Another House Update

Week 4: Now the whole house is framed and has walls. It's amazing what they can get done in just 1 week.

My Temple Picture

I took a great picture of the Salt Lake Temple and with a little help from photoshop, I turned it into my masterpiece. I think it turned out beautifully and I am getting a 16 X 18 poster size printed so I can frame it. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple and I always wanted a picture of it to put in my living room, so it will be so nice to have one that I took. Anyways, kind've cool.

FHE at the Temple

Temple Square was covered in tulips and beautiful spring blooms. I loved the purple ones!

Jeren was so mad that the door wouldn't open, it was so funny to see how mad he got. We tried to explain that the door was locked and was not suppose to open. Try explaining that to a 3 year old.


Jesse and I had a picture taken on this bench when we got married, Landin was trying to act like he was in love.


At our stake conference the Stake President encouraged parents to take their children to the temple and let them feel of the spirit there and to let them touch the temple. Since Jesse works so close to the Salt Lake Temple we decided to see that one first and go to others each week. It is always special to be at the temple, whether inside or out. We are so fortunate to be close to so many here in Utah.

House Update

Week 1: May 2nd, the footings (basement walls) are in!
Week 2: The foundation has been poured and the basement has been framed. You can see where the garage will go.

As of Saturday May 9th, our house now has the foundation and the basement is all framed in. I also have pictures from the week before when there were just the walls to the basement. I can't wait to see what next week brings!

Mother's Day

So I didn't really take any pictures for Mother's day this year, oh well. My mom did come down for the weekend and on Sunday we (my mom, aunt, grandpa) went to my Grandmother and Great Grandmother's grave sites. I never knew my Great Grandmother and my Grandmother died when I was 3-4 months old. I had never seen where they were burried before and so it was very special. We wanted to put flowers on their graves since it was monthers' day! The cemetery was so busy, I didn't know people did this on Mothers' Day! It was such a nice weekend and of course my husband spoiled me, he is such a good man.
