Some GOOOOOOD Cookies

My friend Kami came over a week ago to watch Twilight and to hang out for an evening and so we decided to also make some cookies to go with the movie. I went onto Allrecipes.com and found this White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut cookie recipe. It was soooooooo good. Here is the recipe. I did change a few things that I think made it better. My changes are in BOLD

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup shortning
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract double the vanilla 1 tsp, eliminate the almond extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
1 cup coarsely chopped white chocolate I didn't bother to chop, they were good whole

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the macadamia nuts and white chocolate. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

Make sure you really watch them in the oven, don't over cook. 10 minutes is top to cook. Cook till they have a tiny bit of brown on top and still look gooey. They will cook more on the cookie sheet.
